Ealing Trailfinders and Doncaster Knights may be the early pace-setters this season, with three wins from three, but their unbeaten record will be put to the test over the next 24 hours, with both sides facing tough assignments away from home against in-form opposition. Here's a reminder of how the table looks after three rounds:

The action gets underway on Friday evening, with two simultaneous 19:45 GMT kick-offs. Nottingham host Ealing Trailfinders in what will surely be an entertaining showdown between an in-form Archers side boasting one of the league's most lethal back lines and the pre-season title favourites. Meanwhile, 125 miles south in Richmond, London Scottish host Ampthill. The Mob head into Friday clash full of confidence after a stunning win against Coventry, but will face an Exiles side determined to bank their first points of the campaign.

Saturday sees the remaining three teams in action, starting at Volac Park, where another side looking for their first win, Cambridge, take on a Hartpury outfit still reeling from last weekend's heavy defeat to Bedford Blues. Cornish Pirates, back a from a three-week absence after their bye in Round 3, welcome Caldy to The Mennaye, and will be looking to leapfrog The Ravers, who sit one place above them in the table, with their second win of the season. Then at 15:00 GMT, Coventry and Doncaster Knights go head-to-head in what is arguably the blockbuster clash of the round. The hosts will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Ampthill with a statement win against one of the unbeaten sides in the league, but if recent form is anything to go by, it will take a big performance from Alex Rae's team to topple an impressive-looking Doncaster Knights outfit.
