Blues bank bragging rights
Bedford Blues took home bragging rights over Ampthill after an 11-try thriller.
Ampthill went in front through Sione Va'enuku after just three minutes before Bedford's Shay Kerry levelled the scores off the back of a powerful maul for his first try in Blues colours.
Teammate Fred Tuilagi then crashed over the line to seize control of the tie, with Dean Adamson adding a third for his side by finishing a counter-attacking move.
Matt Worley then turned on the afterburners after receiving Louis James' offload before the duo combined again for Worley's second as Blues entered the break leading 29-7.
Ampthill roared back after the restart with a try each from Josh Barton, Callum Norrie and Declan Murphy to set up a grandstand finish, only for Tuilagi to ensure Bedford won out 36-33 after his second score of the day.
Knights win battle with Coventry
Doncaster Knights outbattled Coventry 38-24 after a strong second-half performance.
Senitiki Nayolo edged Coventry in front with a try on his 50th appearance for the club before Alex Dolly reduced the hosts' arrears from the tee.
Matt Kvesic claimed Coventry's second score of the game before Doncaster's Telusa Veainu showed fine footwork to weave in and out before handing over to Dolly for the finish.
Coventry's Tommy Matthews then extended his side's advantage by slotting home a penalty before teammate Jimmy Martin intercepted an errant pass before racing over the line.
But Knights refused to go quietly and struck back through a penalty try and a score from Obi Ene before Zach Kerr and Jordan Olowofela opened their accounts to complete the turnaround.
Caldy contain Archers
Caldy outgunned Nottingham Rugby to win 34-29 at The Bay.
Tom Threlfall's penalty fired Nottingham into an early lead, only for Caldy to respond with their first score of the game not long after.
Caldy then widened the gap before Nottingham registered their first try when Tom Manz muscled over the line with Threlfall adding the extras.
The visitors then extended their lead from the tee to enter the interval ahead 15-10 before powering past the Nottingham pack to record another try after the restart.
Scores from Jack Dickinson and Jack Stapley briefly brought Nottingham level ahead of two more from Caldy and while James Cherry's last-minute effort looked to set up a tense finish, it wasn't to be for the Archers.
Pirates pick up bonus point
Cornish Pirates picked up a bonus point win with a 26-17 defeat of Hartpury.
Robbie Smith crossed the whitewash early on with a solo effort to hand Hartpury the lead before Pirates' Matt McNab tied things up.
The hosts then took control of the contest with a penalty try ahead of a score from Will Trewin after latching onto Bruce Houston's over-the-top dink.
Houston then got himself on the scoresheet with a finish from out wide before former Pirate Harry Bazalgette ensured Hartpury were only behind by four with a try and a penalty.
But Pirates pulled away late to take home the spoils after Harry Yates got himself over the line to seal the victory and with it, the bonus point.
Trailfinders push past Chinnor
Ealing Trailfinders pushed past Chinnor with a comfortable 41-5 victory.
Francis Moore got things started for Trailfinders not long into proceedings before Chinnor answered back with their own score, only to miss the conversion.
Matt Cornish added a second for the league leaders when he muscled over the line from a maul, before teammate Michael Stronge closed out the first half by dotting down to ensure his side entered the interval up 17-5.
Reuben Bird-Tulloch further extended Trailfinders' advantage ahead of efforts from Craig Willis and namesake Hampson, with Robb Farrar finishing the job with a minute left on the clock after a well-worked set piece.
London Scottish surge past Cambridge
London Scottish recorded a fine 60-33 defeat of bottom-placed Cambridge on a sunny afternoon in the English capital.
An 11th-minute try preceded efforts from Matt Wilkinson, Zach Carr and Hayden Hyde as Scottish immediately took control of proceedings.
Zac Nearchou pulled one back for Cambridge from out wide before scores from Ben Brownlie and Pete White ensured the visitors trailed 24-19 by half-time.
The restart opened with Austin Wallis extending Scottish's advantage off the back of a maul, with Jonny Law and Will Brown further widening the gap.
Hyde then broke the half-century mark with his second before Cambridge's Matt Dawson scored a late consolation, after which Scottish's Stephen Kerins dotted down to confirm his side's victory.
